I chose this knife because I am somewhat of a knife collector. Upon receiving this knife, however, it felt light and cheaply made. The balance of the knife is okay in my hand. The full tang is a plus, but the blade itself is lightweight and feels cheaply made. The knife could've been sharper out of the box, but after just a bit of use, it had to be sharpened. This let's me know that the steel is not made of a hardened material. For the price, it's not bad, but it's not great, either...

I am very satisfied with this chef knife. I have been using itfor a week now and it still looks and cuts like new. It comes with a great gift box for ensuring that it stays in great shape.You should wash it after using and put it back in the case. I love the nature texture in the rosewood handle. The blade seems very sturdy and durable. This is a high quality knife at a affordable price.
