Q: why does my cutter foot attachment not sew at the edge of the fabric?

I just used it last week. it worked great on knit fabric or similar texture. It is very bad on silk or elegant type of fabric, it chews up the edge. I am not sure what you did, however did you set the machine to ziczac stiches ( Surge stiches ), The fabric edge needs to pass the cutting knife position and it works better if you hang on to the fabric and guide it thru with a light tension. And make sure to install it correctly, the left crane should hook over the needle holder. Hope this help

LOOK FOR THE INSTRUCTIONS!

I have a brother pacesetter an older machine, and this does not fit my machine :( it makes me sad, but honestly it’s such a cute little thing I think it’s a good thing to try! I’m giving it a five because honestly I think it would’ve worked. It just didn’t fit my machine.For the usability of the device, the five is because I can’t say it didn’t work. Because I got it on there correctly the needle came down. Nothing moved. I realize there wasn’t a setting or Dr. I can put on it to make it work so I can’t say it doesn’t work. It just doesn’t work on my machine so five out of five.!
