The competition was much higher priced. Upon arrival, this pad needed a bit of time to Un-Curl at the edges, as it came rolled. But after a few hours of lying flat, it was perfectly fine with hugging the table as you can see. I’ll not store it curled. Both sides are good, no difference. My table will be protected from spills and scratches. I can place paper directly on the pad and write using a pen or pencil. It stays in place nicely. Seems very durable. Cleanable. Not leather.

This mat fits well on my 23"x 47" desktop, with room for my laptop computer, extra display on a riser, bluetooth keyboard, mouse, and the essential cup of coffee. Lays flat, resilient enough to write on but still with a bit of padding. Cleans up easily. Works well with optical mouse. Reversible, but I'd give up that feature to have the back slightly tacky so it wouldn't slide; I'm just OCD enough to feel I have to adjust the alignment with the desk edge multiple times a day! Looks good and I prefer it to a blotter. Also a great price.

This is a nice big desk pad that is easy to clean, easy to write on, and works well as a mouse pad. It protects the desk without slipping.Only downside is that it ships with a strap that had a metal nub. In the summer heat it made slight dimples in the mat that haven't smoothed out yet and it's been almost 2 weeks.Good desk mat but the seller should ditch the strap or switch to a velcro strap because you could roll this up and take with you but it's cheap enough to buy one for the office and one for the home office.You can write on a single sheet of paper with a ballpoint pen without worrying about it punching through.

Really liked the fact that the mat laid flat right out of the package. Helps protect the top of the desk and is easy to write on. The long length provides plenty of room for the keyboard as well as a place to the side to set other things.

Just the right size for my home computer hutch desk. Most pads are so deep that one of the legs of my printer would be on it, making the device uneven. It perfectly covers the worn spots on my desk, and gives it a near new look again. It has worn well for several months now, and is reversible when needed. The low price is also a plus. It does arrive rolled up. I placed mine on an outdoor picnic table in the sun for a while, and it then laid perfectly flat on my office desk. I will buy again when the time comes for a new one, although it appears not to be for a distant time.

i was disappointed, not enough to return it, but it is only as thick as cardboard.

This was not expensive so I wasn't sure what to expect especially since I was replacing a desk mat that wouldn't stay flat even after years of use. This one lays totally flat and I've had zero issues with curling edges after 2mos of daily use so far.
