Great lunchbox
I got this for my son to be able to heat up food if I'm out. He has autism and a form of epilepsy and isn't allowed to use the cooker, microwave, etc if no one is there to supervise. With this lunchbox he can put in food to be heated, the lid clamps on and has a carry handle if it needs to be moved. He can plug it in in the lounge whilst he's watching TV or playing games on his phone, and in approximately (depending on food and original temperature of food)45 minutes, he has a hot lunch. Once the lunchbox reaches its maximum temperature, it then keeps food warm. The outside of the lunchbox gets slightly warm, but not hot, and the carry handle on top means that you don't need to touch the bottom of the box anyway. It has metal cutlery stored in a compartment on the lid, which is very handy. The metal dish inside the lunchbox lifts out for washing.I'm really pleased with this item, and so is my son, as it means he can have hot food, which he can heat himself, so gives him some independence. I would definitely buy again, if this lunchbox wears out!!I would also like to say that I had to contact the seller with an enquiry, and they were extremely helpful and dealt with my query very quickly and efficiently.Note:. This only heats up pre-booked food, does not "cook" food

A brilliant piece of equipment for use anywhere that has an electrical or car outlet.
I bought this for use on my travels. It has worked brilliantly. It heats up pretty quick depending on the type of food. If heating up (eg a slice of bread) and some soup. The slice of bread will heat up much quicker than the soup. It's a little matter of trial & error, but you can quickly figure out how much time you might need. Also used it in the car, and again it worked fantastic.

Handy lunch kit if you want warm food
Received the item on time. Nothing to gripe about. No issues nor defect. Happy with my purchase.I have been using this food warmer now for the past few weeks. It heats up food quickly if it is on room temperature - around 10 minutes mark. If it is chilled, it will take around 20 minutes to get it warm and ready. Make sure don't leave it plugged for too long as the electric plate tends to get really hot and the food tends to get stuck on the bottom of the stainless container. The plastic spoon that comes really handy but i prefer to bring a separate fork/spoon as it is not sturdy enough if you are having meat etc. It does its job though and handy for office lunch.

"Some Like It Hot"
Customers hesitating about buying this item need not hesitate any longer! Gone are the monotonous daily sandwiches for work, and make way for a delicious hot meal when needed.I work in a warehouse Monday to Friday and had sandwiches for lunch daily or a greasy beef burger from the local food wagon, that is, until I discovered "The Homeasy Lunch Box" here on Amazon.Working hard as I do, I wanted more than a cold sandwich for lunch. Sure, we have a canteen, but not one which provides hot food. We can get hot food from the local food wagon, but it can get expensive should you buy it daily. That is until I came across "The Homeasy Lunch Box". What a GODSEND that was. I prepare a pre-cooked meal and place it in my Homeasy before I start work at 7.30 am. At 10 am, I plug in my Homeasy for it to work its magic. I unplug it and head for the canteen at 12.30 pm for lunch, open up my Homeasy and am greeted with a scorching delicious meal and feel content when finished. Gone are the days of sandwiches for lunch, but they are nice to have on an off day and save me a fortune weekly.Ideal for long-distance lorry drivers, people who drive daily up and down the country, delivery drivers, tractor drivers out in the field etc. Simply use the cigarette fitting in the cab 2 or so hours before stopping, pulling over and eating a delicious well-prepared lunch without the added expense—ideal for people who use excessive motorway services. Simply attach "The Homeasy Lunch Box" 2 hours later, find a motorway service station, park in its car park, open your Homeasy and eat away. It saves you a fortune!"The Homeasy Lunch Box" is reasonably priced and comes complete with its cutlery. It was so good; I bought 2 - You'd be glad you did!ENJOY!

Stayed boiling
Heating soup, after reaching temperature the food heater stayed boiling, the soup bubbled over the steam vent and stains the food heater lid, dangerous, cutlery compartment don't close, other than that ok, will send back and ask for a replacement.

Ideal for van dwellers
Hardly ever leave product reviews but this is an absolute game changer.I live in a micro-camper, so it's quite difficult to cook and wash up. Especially cooking inside when it's raining. If I've had a really long day at work and can't be bothered to cook something proper I usually have something cold like sandwiches, snacks, or a drive-thru/takeaway etc... I only eat vegan food too, so even fewer no-cook choices in shops.I thought I'd give this product a go because there are plenty of vegan ready meals, soups, curries etc.. now and all they really need is warming through. I have a modest solar panel set up going into a Jackery 1000 power station so a small device like this is fine to heat up.I did a test with a full-size can of beans in an aluminium container (see picture). It's currently 20c room temperature in my house. I heated the beans for 45 minutes and they came out steaming. Not crazy hot, but plenty hot enough to eat. This device draws about 40w. When it first started it was as high as 50w, but only for a few minutes. When it got up to temperature it dropped down to 33w. So I'd say 40w average is a good estimate. My 45-minute test only took 3% of my 1000wh Jackery battery.Don't know how much it affects cooking time, but I'd definitely recommend using the aluminium containers for easy cleanup. A large one takes up the whole space, and a small one can also fit the little plastic tub it comes with. Excellent for ready meals that come with rice to steam separately with a bit of water.
