Big clear display
I've been using a triple kitchen timer since the 90's and once you get used to having one it's hard to go back. When my trusty old one died I bought the now discontinued OXO triple timer and it was terrible. At the time, five years ago, there wasn't anything that looked good. I recently looked though and found this and I'm glad I did!The display is large and clear, very easy to read. I can read it from outside through the kitchen window! The buttons are clearly worked and how they work is logical. Unlike many others, the magnet on the back will actually hold it fairly firmly on a range hood. The only thing that's not perfect is that when it's on a range hood or other surface (not sitting on a counter) it's not that loud, muffled by being so close to the mounting surface. I attached small rare earth magnets to each of the timers magnets and now it's perfect, absolutely perfect. I'm very happy I found this timer! The one downside is the beeps. For timer one, it beeps twice, for timer two it beeps three times, and for timer three it beeps four times. Kind of confusing.

Great features
Nice timer just loud enough

OK for the price
It works as expected and is easy to set. It takes a few times to figure out how to silence each of the 3 alarms using the one OFF button. Also, there is no way to turn off the display, so it continues to use battery power.

Game changer in my kitchen
Game changer in my kitchen. My new oven on chimes for a few seconds and it's barely audible if you're in the other room. Now I can hear this time from outside my house while I'm cooking on the deck and I can have multiple items on the oven and stove without worrying about over cooking/baking anything. Bought one for my hard of hearing client as well.

Model With Stand Has Better Viewing Angle Than One With A Magnet
The model with the integrated folding stand is in the foreground and the model that has a magnet but no stand is in the background.Note the better viewing angle on this model (with the stand). This model has buttons for 0 through 9 which makes it easy enough to punch in the time you want. The other model with the magnet has buttons for 1 min., 5 min., and 10 min. However, you have to think a bit harder and press more buttons to get an odd time set, such as 9 minutes.I'd definitely buy this one again, or one like it with a stand.

Timer functions are fine, but magnets, stand and on/off button are not good
As a timer it works fine. Very loud alarm. The base is angled so it's unstable on a table unless you flip out the stand, which you then have to close again to put it back on a wall with the magnets, which are a little annoying extra steps. The magnets don't hold very well because they are slightly recessed in the plastic and don't make direct contact with the metal surface, and the weight of the timer makes it slide down even the thick parts of my refrigerator's sides; I had to just put it in a drawer which means I'll rarely use it unless I attach better magnets. The on/off button is the worst part. I just let it sit to turn off automatically, but having to hold down the button for 3 seconds to turn the device on before being able to start a countdown is an annoying waste of time. Every other timer I've seen just turns on with any button press instantly, and is much more convenient and I don't care about the rare chance of accidentally turning it on. The lanyard seems kind of a pointless added cost as it's very small; not large enough to put on your wrist and just holding it on a finger would be only a very slight convenience compared to just carrying the timer and/or putting it down. Perhaps it could be put on a kitchen hook but again very rare.

LARGE NUMBERS/LOUND RINGER
I've purchased 4 of these timers for the kitchen because I like them so much. It has all the features I want: large numbers, loud ringer you can hear several rooms away (which you can modify), count up, count down. Another feature I like is that when the time counts down to zero, it beeps and continues to do so for one minute unless you shut it off. After one minute the beeping stops, but the timer continues counting up from zero so that when you do shut it off you can see how much time has elapsed since is went to zero. I find this feature very handy when experimenting with recipes. For example, If I think something is going to thicken in 5 minutes, I set the timer accordingly. But if at the 5 minute mark it HASN'T thickened, I let the timer continue until it does and then I can see how much time it actually took. Another feature I like is that if I set the timer for 5 minutes and I press Stop, it automatically resets itself to 5 minutes. If that's not what you want, just hit clear. The timer is an of/off button, but to be honest, the button has never worked for me. One more "feature" some of these timers appear to have is cycle mode -- not that the directions ever said that. If it gets into cycle mode, you won't get an arrow up or down symbol when the timer counts up or down, instead you'll see a cycle symbol. When this happens, if you set the timer for 20 minutes and you hit stop when the alarm goes off, it will AUTOMATICALLY reset itself to 20 minutes and begin counting down again -- ad nauseam until you clear it. Again, I didn't see this in any of the instructions and I don't even know how I got my timer into cycle mode, but the only way I could figure out how to go back to normal count down/count up mode was to remove and reinstall the batteries.

Don’t waste your money
I bought this to count up from the day my mom passed away and can’t figure it out by the awful directions. Not only did I not figure it out but my Husband and son (23 yrs old) couldn’t figure it out either. It went in the trash!!
