You rely need to check the fluid. I checked the fluid in my new 2023 Harley and it showed that it needed to be changed. I changed it and now it shows good. This was a bike that was manufactured 3 months ago.

Works as it should on my motorcycle the Dot 4 needs change about every two years because of water condensation, this keeps me safe.

I like to get this tool out and show people who don't change their brake fluid, how their car has 3 or 4 percent water in the brake fluid. It's also a good way to check on your mechanic to make sure they actually did the job you paid for, since brake fluid changes are one of the classic ripoff jobs that car shops perpetrate on customers. This tool is more expensive than the little ones, but it's far more durable and will last many years, which the cheap ones do not.

This unit has different settings for the type of brake fluid you were working with I'm seeing more accurate lamp pin detectors that you usually find and highly recommend this over one of the cheaper detectors

Works just fine. Put it into a new bottle of unopened DOT4 for my Harley, read as it should. No moisture, or less than .5%. Then into one of my bikes, read more moisture, need to change. As intended.

I use this on every vehicle that I own. Very easy to use clear and concise LED screen. Highly recommended!

I haven't had any issues with this product yet. Only used a couple of times but seems to work fine. I like the light it has but wish it was brighter. Works as described. Good reference tool to have for estimating ONLY water content NOT acidity inside of brake fluid.

Todo el cuerpo de la herramienta que es plástico, de fisura y se desintegra. No corresponde a la calidad de material que debe tener, pues muchas veces con las manos impregnadas de líquido de freno tocas la superficie y días después, ya tiene fisuras y se rompe al simple manejo.Ya había visto esto en otras marcas de la herramienta, pero pensé que era diferente por el vástago de metal en el sensor.No recomendada para taller, tal vez en un laboratorio.
