Q: How do you charge the inpeller

The impeller does not need charging, but you do need to remove the bottom cover to the motor to take out the impeller, periodically, and clean it. Once you remove the intake tube, there is a short tube left that appears to be a permanent part of the housing, it's not. Use a towel or rubber jar opener to grab this tube, and pull down hard. This will open the pump and allow you to pull the impeller out for cleaning.

Q: Will this work with the eclipse 12?

I am not sure, I have an Eclipse 5, wish I could help, measure to see if fits, then you will be able to decide.

Q: Will this pump work for the eclipse tank 12 gallon i think .... the old pump says for pfes 12.?

I used this pump in my 5 gallon tank and it worked fine. I think maybe 12 gallons would be too much for it. In my experience, having the best pump for your size tank is the best thing you can do for your fish.

Q: would this work on a HEX 7?

No, this is for the hex 5/eclipse 3 system. You'd need to call marineland or go to their website to get the product number for the hex 7 housing.
