My main concern was the top rolling down and I even chatted with someone on the Spanx website who said that if you are in between sizes then sizing up will help prevent rolling. Even though I am losing weight, I went ahead and got the larger size. Trying it on and walking around my house I was disappointed at first because it immediately started rolling down. Loved it everywhere else so I decided to wear to work the next day with the straps to hold the top in place (pro tip: don’t try to figure out the straps when you are already running late! Took me a good five minutes searching for the second strap I swear I just had before I realized they were hooked together). Not sure if it just needed a stretching from the initial try on or if the straps did anything, but I had almost no rolling of the band wearing these for over 10 hours! I didn’t have that tummy sauna/sausage casing feeling like with cheaper brands. I am a little wary of using the opening - I got the nude color and they are almost see-through. One thing that is nice about the shorts style shapewear is that your rear end is covered in a dress - it looks like they mean for you to wear these without underwear but with the transparency and the big hole, I felt it was too risky.I was hesitant to buy these because of the expense, but then I realized that I had 3 $20 ones to return that just didn’t work for me despite rave reviews. I learned a lesson in buying quality here.I think the style is good for those with long torsos - they went all the way up without any issue and I’m normally fighting the highwaisted styles to get them in place. For reference, I’m 5’9” 180lbs size 12/14, pear shaped and I bought large.

Great product just know to order up in size. It runs very, very small.

I'm 5'3 and around 160-165lbs. When I first got this product, I thought I was crazy for buying medium, cause it looked tiny. However, I read a review from someone similar to my weight and height that said not to give up and that it would fit. I struggled a bit, but I got it on and it definitely made a huge difference for the dress I had to wear. The only thing is that is does roll down a bit, so you might get a little back muffin top, but it kinda smooths out when you put a bra over it. The tummy control really makes up for the rolling down situation.

They would not stay in place and as they rolled down, they cut off my ability to take a deep breath. Ruined the first hour of a wedding and had to be taken off to feel remotely comfortable. Same size as all of my other spanx brand shapewear.

So disappointed in this! It works great everywhere except at the top of the back, there is no way to stop it from rolling down.

Nothing beats the Spanx brand from my experience with so many other copy-cats. I really would be an ambassador for this brand (HIRE ME lol), nothing else on the market comes close!For the curvy women, a size 16+, these are a must MUST have! These are perfect for under a knee-length dress/biker shorts/leggings, and they are my go-to shapewear. I've tired Yummie, everything at Kohls and Macys, Hookedup Shapewear, everything at Lane Bryant/Torrid, and nothing has beat Spanx (not even the X made by Spanx line). I know the price is a little steep but it's worth the investment. You will be smoothed out, as this is one of the higher compression garments they have for plus size women, and you will instantly boost your confidence in something form hugging especially. I wouldn't think about it, I would get them. If I styled ANYONE, it would start with a pair of these Spanx before anything else.If you are plus size and wondering your size, go to the Spanx website, click on the size chart for plus sizes to learn your accurate size. Spanx size chart is accurate and you do not need to go up or down a size if you measure yourself properly. I hope this helps, LOVE YOU SPANX!!!!!

This is my second pair of Spanx. To be noted my first pair of Spanx I purchased almost 10 years ago and they were so hard to get on that I felt like an overstuffed sausage. These however are drastically improved. Even though they offer the compression, it doesn't feel like I'm being rung out like your grandma's laundry. The fabric is much smoother, glides over the skin ( please for the love of God make sure your skin is dry before you try this) and even has an interesting feature that's supposed to add more shape to your butt. From what I can tell, it may just make it look a little smoother from the lower back rolls to the start of the cheeks. But if you're like me and you got more in the midsection to love these will work. They allowed me to wear a not super tight bodycon dress to a Broadway show and I didn't looks like the Michelin Man underneath. When I pulled this out of the packaging, I laughed and put it back in and prepared to send it back. BUT, I decided to check reviews and I’m glad I did. It took some energy to get them up to the tops of my legs and it was not a pretty sight trying to shimmy them up over my tummy BUT once I did, they felt comfortable and stayed put. There’s no rubber lining at the top to keep it in place but it didnt move much. I am 165lb and purchased a medium. It was worth the money!
