Q: Is this lite weight set ?

Hello,our 11 inches dinner plate is 0.73 pounds,9 inches salad plate is 0.5 pounds,bowl is 0.57 pounds.The dinnware set is 7.18 pounds.They are lighter than ceramic and suit for outdoor use.

Q: Are the dinneware sets you received the same as the pictures?

Yes, they are very colorful, patterns/colors were how they were in pictures..

Q: Why can’t these be put in the microwave? Many plastic bowls can be microwaved so I don’t understand.

Hi, these contain melamine. According to the US FDA, "when highly acidic foods are heated to extreme temperatures (e.g.,160 ° F or higher), the amount of melamine that migrates out of the plastic can increase. Foods and drinks should not be heated on melamine-based dinnerware in microwave ovens. Only ceramic or other cookware which specifies that the cookware is microwave-safe should be used. The food may then be served on melamine-based tableware."
