Great stainless steel look. I like the curved hook that you can use to hang it, but we just place the scale in the cabinet. Overall the scale is VERY accurate, but the reason why I can't give 5 stars is because the consistency can be off. For instance... you can tare out the scale to zero with a bowl on top and add food-related items to the container. If you dump the contents out, and replace again chances are it will say the same measurement. But after 3 or 4 tries it starts to reflect an increase in weight. However, when you remove the bowl the scale shows the exact same increase instead of zero. This makes me think the gravity/spring mechanism isn't 100% perfect. But honestly, ANY scale that you buy that's under $100 bucks will have the same issue.It's easy to switch between the 4 measuring functions, and the digital read out is very easy to read. It's simple to use and battery replacement (when needed) will be a snap. I use this scale mostly for measuring coffee. It's the perfect size that's small enough to not be bulky. You can easily measure the exact grams of coffee beans before grinding. It's also large enough that it easily fits the carafe (with room to spare), and you can get the proper apx. gram measurement for water.Ever since using the scale, every time I make a pot of coffee the flavor and consistency is always the same now! My wife also likes to use it for measuring portions of food. It's nice to have a surface that you can safely place food directly rather than requiring a bowl or plate. The surface feels like thin stainless steel and not painted plastic. If the weight measurement was always 100% consistent (an unrealistic expectation, I realize) I would rate this scale 6 stars if I could. 4.5 stars is what I would give, so I opted to round down. XLT value for the price, and I'm happy I purchased this scale over the others that are similar in price & quality.

Love the slim profile, but the digital screen is dirty looking. There's some debris under the digital cover and it's annoying cause I can't access it to clean. Also I had a difficult time putting in batteries and taking them out. Had to finagle the batteries around a bit to make contact. Looks like it had been messed with since the metal contacts were smashed. Not enough to make a big fuss about it since it's a cheap enough item and I've spent quite a bit of time on the phone with Amazon already complaining about other products ordered at the same time.

Great scale. I really like the curled back which hangs on a rod very well. Works perfect with ikea rod where I have hooks to hang my coffee cups. Only wish you could run timer and scale at the same time for certain applications.
