Looks good whether on or off, it matches other rattan items in my room. It's small enough to fit on a bedside table, leaving space for other things. The light is warm and cosy, but quite faint - so perfect for a bedtime atmosphere but not strong enough for reading.

This is a really pretty lamp that gives those beautiful shadows on the surroundings nearby. The photos do it justice, the lamp looks just as shown and is of a very nice quality, particularly at this price (I got it for a few pounds off during Black Friday). The lamp comes with an included LED lightbulb that is diffused/frosted for a softer look. This is a nice touch as so few lamps come with a bulb - it's a screw in E27 type. I've also tried this with a clear exposed element bulb and the shadows and light it provides are really cool filling the room. Overally really please with this and would recommend it.

Atmospheric, can’t see too much of the bulb. Natural glow. Great for ambiance/ bedside. Not for reading.

This is a very nice lamp but after disassembling it (to put a longer flex on) I discovered that the lampholder is of very poor quality. Instead of using screw terminals for the incoming flex it uses very poor push fit connectors. These do not hold the cable adequately at all. Loose connections lead to high resistance which leads to heat which can then cause fire. I won't be leaving this lamp on and unattended until I have replaced the lampholder with something rather more serious. I shouldn't have to do this of course, and the manufacturer shouldn't be cutting corners in this critical area.If that weren't enough I also discovered that the incoming live conductor was connected to the sleeve terminal (the one which touches the threaded part of the bulb and the part one could easily touch when removing or screwing a bulb in). This is wrong. On an E27 fitting the live conductor should touch the tip connector of the bulb (the part you can't touch when unscrewing/ screwing the bulb). This is a major safety issue, and, although I'd give the lamp 5 stars leaving aside electrical issues, the fact that it's extremally dangerous means I'd give it no stars if that were possible.
