It was bought as a present, to read while travelling by car, coach... It is great, that both hands can be free for holding a book and turn the pages (without actually disturbing the car driver, or a sleeping person) because this light rests on the neck, and easily can be made to direct the lights in any directions wanted via the bendy arms. There are 3 modes of brightness levels, which can either work both sides together or individually. The best bit is that it is USB rechargeable (no batteries dying off) and one full charge lasts for ages. It is super comfy to wear, and can be used anywhere when both hands need to be free and light is needed (getting shopping out of the car, 0r dark cupboard to check plumbing...)

I love reading, but I've reached an age where I need to wear spectacles - in addition to requiring a good lighting source for optimum enjoyment, especially in the evenings. We have a decent goose-neck LED floor lamp in our lounge, but it's not very practical to move around - should I want to read in the conservatory, another room, or in bed. Over the years I've wasted my money on various 'book lights' but found them all to be sadly lacking in so many ways - fiddly to use, not providing sufficient light to cover two pages at once etc, etc. Eventually, I found out about these 'round the neck' dual reading lights, and was impressed by the practical design of them. They are obviously becoming popular because there are now many companies selling them - so the choice can be overwhelming. I'm rather pedantic and fussy, and I like to get my money's worth when it comes to parting with my hard-earned cash. This is why I spent LOTS of my precious time weighing up the pros and cons of the myriad of reading lights available on Amazon, before deciding that these ones from the Glocusent brand offered me the best deal. So, was my choice a good one? You bet it was!This is a cracking lighting device, and does exactly what I'd hoped for - gee, I'm an happy bunny! Straight out of its no-nonsense recyclable cardboard box, I could see that this was an excellent quality product. It's well made, and has a reassuring 'weight' to it, so when you place it around your neck, it stays there. It's been ergonomically designed -so is very comfortable to wear, to be honest I didn't even notice it was there once I'd got engrossed in my latest thriller. Before my first use, I charged it using the included USB-C cable, this took about 45 minutes - from an uncharged state (red light) to a fully charged status (green light).The actual lighting options are excellent. On the rear is a mode button, which you depress to select an appropriate colour temperature: 1st press = yellow, 2nd press = warm white, 3rd press = cool white, 4th press = Off. On the end of each arm is a brightness button: 1st press = general reading, 2nd press = brighter reading, 3rd press = precision work, 4th press = Off. A particularly useful feature is that those arm lights can be operated independently. How long a fully charged unit will last before a re-charge is necessary will of course depend on your use age, and the chosen mode and brightness. I like to select the warm white mode, and set the arms to 'brighter reading' - this gives me around 20 hours of power, which I'm more than happy with. The arms by the way are completely flexible, yet stay firmly in the position you adjust them to, so you can accurately direct those beams wherever you wish.This has definitely been one of my best investments, and it really does enhance my reading pleasure in the evenings. You may wish to purchase one of these lights for other pastimes like knitting, sewing, cross-stitching, crochet, artwork, electrical/plumbing/car repairs, anything really where you need a bright light - and remember, wearing one of these leaves both hands free! Whether you are buying one for yourself, or as a gift to someone, I think this is a great choice. I have used it a few times and love these. You can chose from 3 different brightness individually for each side, as well as select the tone of light, from neutral to cold to warm.Very handy to read in bed or dark spaces, as well as crocheting/knitting. Each side is flexible so can be adjusted easily.I cannot comment on the battery life just yet but it's rechargeable so very handy.A great buy for crocheters/knitters and readers!

This light is absolutely perfect for reading at night, and also close craft work like crochet/knitting. It's comfortable around the neck, battery lasts a long time, easy to recharge, and I love that you can adjust the light temperature as well as brightness. Both my husband and I have them, I just bought a second one (so I've always got one in the lounge and by the bed), and have recommended them to friends and family. Really excellent product, super useful.

The product helps in knitting. The light is strong enough, the product is lightweight, does not weigh on the neck.

I bought this for my 89 year old mum for extra lighting when she’s crocheting, knitting and doing her word search puzzles. I don’t use it only for a reading light but it is perfect for finding lost items that are hidden in places like under the car seat and behind furniture. It’s better than a headlamp and so handy having it hanging around my neck.I like it that it is light weight and flexible.I never had problems charging it and recommended it to everyone in my family.

Buena luz, discreta y el collarin se ajusta bien. Lo compre para mí padre, me preocupaba que luego se levantaba a leer o ver si tablet, en la noche, y por no querer estar despertar a mi mamá, veía las pantallas en oscuras, así que para que tuviera otro soporte de luz, y no solo la pantalla, lo adquirí, y si, lo usa bastante, hasta de lamparita para ir al baño XD. Yo ya lo usé para leer de noche en un viaje en camion, y la recomiendo bastante

Eine super Idee, um abends im Halbdunklen noch zu häkeln, ohne den Sofanachbarn mit Spiegelungen von Stehlampen beim Fernsehen zu stören. Findet durch die vielseitige Einsatzfähigkeit sicher noch etliche andere Anwendungsbeispiele bei uns und sieht nicht aus wie eine Bergsteigerlampe, wie das bei Stirnlampen oft der Fall ist.Einmal geladen, hält der Akku sehr lange, das Einstellen von Helligkeit und Lichtwärme ist einfach - sehr schön auch, dass eine einmal eingestellte Lichtfarbe auch gespeichert bleibt und nicht jedes Mal neu ausgewählt werden muss. Die Bedienung ist einfach, die Lampe sitzt gut und das Ausrichten der Arme funktioniert ebenfalls selbsterklärend. Klare Kaufempfehlung!
