A really interesting, well illustrated catalogue of medicinal properties of plants, with some history included too. A lovely resource.

Very nice book with lovely illustrations which identifies what the things they are talking about look like. I think that is important because identifying herbs and plants needs clear illustration imo.

The book has good pictures to allow acuate identification of the plants, and is full of interesting facts and recipes.

This is a beautifully written and illustrated book. One of those books that is a joy to look at, can be picked up and put down every day. Even the hardback cover is lovely. The detail about each plant is both educational and historical, I love reading about the historical medicinal uses and the modern medicinal research - and the recipes for making teas, lotions and tinctures are excellent. It’s not often that a book provides pleasure for its own sake but this one does and I recommend it.

I WILL VERY GOOD BOOK

This is a really lovely book. The hardback cover is slightly textured and has the cover design printed directly onto it, giving it a very high quality feel. Inside, the pages are printed on good quality, creamy paper and it's attractively laid out, with columns of text and nice botanical illustrations of the plants. There's also recipes/instructions for preparations using the plants, illustrated using photographs.I'm no expert on the subject and I bought it mostly for the botanical illustrations so I can't comment on how in-depth the content is, but it's certainly a very nice reference book for a lay person like me. I think it would make a lovely gift for someone interested in the subject.
