Solid camera with multiple mounting options
At this price-point, this is an excellent camera for Lightburn. It is a recognized camera in Lightburn so you do not have to go through the spotted printout test (but you should anyway). Joints are extremely beefy and there are many mounting options to choose from for any open framed device. Although I have not verified, I do not think this will work in a standard k40 co2 enclosure. I don't think the field-of-view is wide enough. Two cons: I wish they had allowed for the usb cable to be routed through the support, and there is no mention on which way the camera board is to be mounted - harness plug forward or rear. I mounted it forward and it seems to be fine. And, don't forget to take the protective film off the camera lense before calibrating...

I bought this as an add on to my Atezr Laser Engraver. Works great! Easy set up ad reasonably priced too!

Fantastic support
I recently purchased this camera for my laser engraver and during assembly I broke the mount that holds the camera on the post. I requested, from Comgrow support, how I could go about purchasing a replacement. They requested that I send a picture of the part so they could make sure what I needed. A little later I received an email from Comgrow that they were going to send me a new one. I just received it yesterday and there was no cost involved at all. Unbelievably great support for their products. Thank you Comgrow.

Updated: Made well does not work great - Comgrow has a weird support policy
I was impressed by the product construction, but for an 8MP camera the resolution was poor.Images taken at 22 inches would pixelate severely when any zoom attempt was made.I could not get it to calibrate correctly with Lightburn and the end result was it was very inaccurate.I contacted support immediately for help and they said since I bought it from Amazon they would forward my request for help to my Amazon reseller and that I should buy direct next time if I want their help.I had no idea it was not their storefront and I have no respect for a company that will not support their own products.I am at a loss for words - there are things they sell that intrigue me but I would never buy a Comgrow product again.Update - so perhaps it’s a very weird business model but the sellers did reach out to me and seemed very interested to help. I think my issue is that the camera is a fixed focal camera (not auto-zoom). I am raising my stars because they contacted me

It doesn't like lightburn
I had trouble from the beginning with LB recognizing this camera. I'd plug it in and LB would allow me to choose "USB camera" but I would consistently get only a black screen. Sometimes it'd work for a few days then back to black screen. Same with the Windows camera app. I even tried an amplified USB cable but nothing helped. The camera arm is fine, although I had to drill holes into my Atezr P20 frame to mount it.After the last days-long black screen event, I ended up taking the comgrow camera off and put an SJCAM 4000 actioncam on the arm instead. Issue solved. As for some reviewers mentioning their burns aren't lining up with the camera, there's something in lightburn's camera alignment tool that they don't mention in the documentation - when you align your camera using the tool, it's aligned TO THE HEIGHT YOUR TEST MATERIAL IS AT. I didn't mean to yell but that is an important point. If you use a piece of 1mm paper or 2mm cardboard flat on your laser bed and run the alignment tool then your camera is aligned to your bed height plus that 1 or 2mm height. If you then put a 5mm tall project piece on your bed, your camera is still aligned to that original 1-2mm height but your laser is now burning at 6-7mm height. What I do is raise up my alignment material to the same height as my project using scrap wood and then run the alignment on a piece of paper lying on top of it. Be aware that you'll have to re-align whenever your project height deviates more than 1mm +/- from your alignment height.

better and cheaper than my atomstack camera
I fist bought a atomstack camera and could not get it to work with my MacBook Pro so I had to use my iMac then could never get it dialed in to be accurate enough to trust. So I bought the comgrow camera worked with my MacBook Pro the camera mount was much more sturdy and is within a 1/2 mm or less love the camera and was a good bit cheaper. so win win.

comgrow 8MP Lightburn Camera Module for Laser Engraver
After assembling the stand, realizing that I had to take my engraver apart to slide the four bolts in to be able to secure the mounting plate, and then realizing that the stand is too tall for my engraving enclosure, I had to take it all apart and "McGuiver" a standoff my wall. Once that was done, "2 Hour Later", I discovered that the camera didn't even work. I tried everything, and all I got was a black screen. I tried updating the drivers, ensuring I mounted the camera correctly, and troubleshooting everything. It just didn't work. It's not worth the money or the hassle. Returned it for a refund.
