This is without doubt the greatest bible I have ever purchased. Firstly , it is a New King James Version which I absolutely prefer above all the other many bible versions. Why? Simply because the original textual language of the King James Bible has been faithfully modernised and so beautifully updated by expert scholars to appeal to today's 21st century reader , whilst still maintaining its overall accuracy in accordance with the first printed 1611 edition. Secondly , because it is published by Thomas Nelson , who manufacture the finest quality New King James Version Holy Bibles in theworld today. Also , I trust absolutely in the name because I have already bought several of their bibles , so I know that I am purchasing the very best products available . Thirdly , it is a chronological bible which means that I am reading about events in their complete historical order - exactly whenthey happened . This means studying the written word exactly as God would have intended , so that we could arrange everything into correct order , logically and tidily in our minds . After all , does it not make perfect sense , that we should be able to read the bible in such a way that we understandit and that by so doing , it really does make perfect sense . Remember that God's word is always perfect and He would want us to make sense of allbiblical scripture in the best way possible , so that we may understand Him better throughout history !This particular New King James Version Chronological Study Bible is of the highest possible standard. The cover is beautifully bound in imitation leather with an attractive design imprinted upon it . The pages are of a premium quality , each filled with colour throughout , and in addition to the full biblical text , the pages are filled with historical facts and information . I just got this today so haven't started reading it yet but I am really looking forward to getting stuck into all the rich historical narrative and context that clearly runs through the entire Book. I bought this not realising that when it says Chronological it means it! You will find that all the Old Testament and even the New Testament books and epistles all run into and out of each other so that passages from Luke for example will run alongside those of Matthew and Mark that address the same time periods. Do not buy this if you are looking for a Bible to be set out in its traditional form of different books and epistles. It doesn't just have a nice chronological explanation. Rather, they have pedantically but wonderfully re-arranged the entire thing! And by 'they' I mean the amazing academics who did this. This Bible arranges everything into 9 'Epochs', beginning with Epoch 1 - 'Before the Patriarchs (Creation-2000BC) and the Beginnings of Human Civilisation' to the very end with Epoch 9 - 'The Church Age (AD 30-100), The Gospel to the Jews, Gospel to the Gentiles, Gospel from Jerusalem to Rome and Apocalyptic Writings and the End Time, with of course everything in between the 1st and 9th Epochs.It is beautifully illustrated and arranged in old historical but attractive style and has great colour maps, time charts and panels to accompany and compliment each 'Epoch'.I would recommend this to anyone who is intellectual and who wants to perhaps challenge themselves to rearrange and consolidate their understanding of Biblical history and narrative. I would not recommend this to anyone who just wants a copy of the NKJV with study guide.Of course, the fact that God's Bible has been re-arranged in this way may actually upset and trouble some people but it's not changed the Truth of his Word in anyway that the order is different. It's a fresh and challenging perspective for those well-grounded in the foundation of Biblical theology and understanding. It would also make a nice gift for a mature Christian.

Font size is excellent, very readable. I am very, very happy with this Bible and would highly recommend it. The soft leatherlike cover is lovely, it has a complementary gold coloured ribbon marker, and the pages are beautifully designed and printed. This stunning Bible is really very well put together and perfect for both personal use or/and as a gift. Puts the other Bibles I have in the shade! It arrived within date, brand new, boxed, in perfect condition. Amazon always provide quality products, and this is no exception. Well worth the money.

A pleasure to read. It has additional relevant background and contextual information for those who wish to delve deeper into the scriptures. About the best study bible that I have owned. I heartily recommend it!

Received mine today, looks great so far. One previous review said that Psalms 23 and 51 were missing. He made a mistake as Ps 23 is on page 322 and Ps 51 is on page 390. I've bought the leather version so it's possible page numbers are different in the hardback version

Love this Bible. Although it is chronological order it reads very well. It is very good for home study,Difficult to use in church as the order of the book are not the same as a common Bible. It is very well made and has a life time guarantee. Value for money

If you are a student of scripture who is firmly rooted in Christ then only buy this. Not for novice or beginners. For such I recommend Scofield amplified or Thompson chain reference Bible.

Other articles demonstrate that God is constantly using established cultural symbols and practices for His glory in order to illustrate a lesson to God's people as well as the lost. Regarding the time lines and dating which corresponds with secular works, if one were to read very clearly throughout the notes, one would find that these dates are simply given as a point of reference and not necessarily approved. This point becomes very clear when reading the Biblical time lines illustrated throughout the text. Lastly, please remember that this book is presented exactly as a textbook would be presented. It is made colorful, attractive, objective, and informative. It allows the student to gain the understanding of the Scriptures as though they had taken a Bible Survey class coupled with a Manners and Customs class and an Ancient World History from a Christian Perspective class.
