Idk what this is for tbh, husband bought it
I will say I haven’t heard him complain since he put it in. In fact he said his car ran better with it!‘89 Camaro. Idk what it does I’m just a parts handler and flashlight holder

Fits other models too
My original gas tank vent was seized closed on a 97 Firebird & caused quite the mess after filling up, & tank presurized spewing gas in the garage after a short drive home. I had to modify the original feed pipe to the vent valve being hard plastic with a few inches of rubber gas line to splice together but that issue is solved ! Will test my hunch on next fill up ! Fingers crossed
