Excellent wi-fi extender
I'm using it as a Wi-Fi extender to improve connectivity upstairs as my main router signal is a bit patchy. This is a replacement for my previous extender and having run a head to head test, I'm getting around 30% speed improvement with this new device and strong reception. The rotatable antenna are bigger than on other extenders that I've had in the past which may be one of the reasons I'm getting a better signal nowTook about 3 minutes to set up. The instructions are really clear and straightforward.Out of curiosity I did also test it as a main WiFi access point (rather than an extender) as I thought it might underperform due to its small size but that wasn't the case. It was perfectly fast with a good range.

Doesn’t really do what it says on the box.
When the adapter arrived I was encouraged to see that, whilst I hadn’t previously heard of the brand, it was well-packaged, appeared to be well made and sturdy, and was accompanied by an Ethernet cable and a comprehensive instructions leaflet. It took me 2-3 attempts to pair it with my router via the WPS method, but eventually succeeded, the adapter indicating a strong signal. However, that was only the case about 10 feet from the router and in the same room. Just taking it into the next room defeated it. Insufficient signal to do anything. I reset it and tried again several times, and tried different locations in the adjoining room. Then I considered using it as a wifi extender, but that didn’t work either. When I tested the speed of the extender’s network, less than 10 feet away from the adapter, it gave me a line speed approx one quarter of the speed I could get without it. Sadly, it has now been packaged up for a return, and my quest for an Ethernet adapter continues.

Ideal to extend into garden for WFH on laptop in gazebo
Simple to setup that a mobile device can be used instead of a laptop or PC.BrosTrend WiFi 6 AX3000 WiFi to Ethernet Adapter, Universal Wireless Ethernet WiFi AdapterArrived in its display box and protected from damaged with a cardboard shaped holder. Also supplied in the box is a network cable but I didn't use this.Instructions are supplied on long sheet that cover how to configure the device. Using a mobile device and configured it as option 1 - Wifi Extender. This was easy to do with a mobile and picked up the house Wifi with ease for both the 2.4 and 5 signals.Kept the same name with the _EXT but I did change the password for something slightly easier as I will only be using this for the garden and when I'm in the garden or having people over for a BBQ.Once it was all setup and ready to use, switched it off and moved it to the wall closest to the garden inside the house. Switched it on and when I walked out into the garden, was able to see the wifi with _EXT and connected with no issues. Started a few music songs and could stream them with no bufferring. Switch the externder off and waited an hour and switched back on. Wifi came on and extended into the garden as before.I have now used the extender quite a few times with no issues and even left it switched off for 2 days and then switched it on. Wifi_EXT was seen straight away and reconnected the laptop first time. Able to connect to works online systems with no buffering or warning of networks speeds. Fast responses on websites was seen.Fully recommend this as working from home via online websites is no issue with this extender.

Works great as extender
This is a good looking a great feeling product. The quality is on display and it has a reassuring weight to it. That doesn’t mean it will work well, but it’s a good sign. This does happen to work very well. It’s primarily aimed as a Ethernet adapter but is equally as good as an access point or extender. I think the reason it’s aimed as Ethernet adapter is because the range and connection is very good. Being WiFi 6 it’s best paired with a WiFi 6 router and you do get the newer WPA3 security. And that is a must these days.I’ve found the range is fantastic. Through two walls I’m getting a solid signal. Its speed is heavily reduced but solid. And that’s so I can plug a work computer into Ethernet. Testing is as an extender through just one wall and this does give a massive boost in range and the speed is still reduced but by a fair bit less.Setup is easy. Pretty much the press of a button to start. You can then configure it further and this is straight forward to do.It’s a higher price item and you are getting what you pay for with it. Solid and reliable performance with easy options. I’m really happy with this one.

BrosTrend WiFi 6 AX3000
BrosTrend WiFi 6 AX3000 WiFi to Ethernet Adapter - I like that it is well constructed and feels premium. The two antenna will boost the signal. It is WiFi 6 technology, which is the latest. It can be configured as range Extender, Access Point, and WiFi to Ethernet. It was straightforward to setup following the steps of the included booklet manual.I have set it up as AP, and it works great on 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz.I was pleasantly surprised to see that is using WPA3 for security! There's an LED which will block red before setting it up and stable blue once all configured. The WPS button is when you use it as range Extender and is situated on one of the sides next to the reset button for which you need a pin (SIM card removal tool will work) to push it down.I love this range Extender as it ticks all the boxes for me.

Poor implementation for purpose of simply connecting a wired device to a wireless network
Didn’t accept long passwords to join WLAN on Ubiquiti access point. This was a fail for me.Doesn’t just act as a client Wired to WLAN adapter but rather forces to be a WLAN extension too (you only ‘hide’ the broadcast of these new WLAN). Unclear why this isn’t a configurable option.Software has limited configuration to optimise performance. From a hardware perspective, Device also gets quite warm too. It also has to be physically plugged into the mains. This means you need to also price in an extension cable (eg if you want to have the device raised up).
