Extremely low quality .
Bought 2 and they showed 2 different temps. One died within a day.

Usage
I got these for a unique use . Not inground use but sitting out it registered 80% when my other meters said 40-50% so not sure if you calibrate them but that would a must have if ask me . Otherwise for the cost not bad .

Seperate Probe Allows Great Application Flexibility, Excellent Performance at an Excellent Value
My application for the DWEII Mini Hygrometer Thermometer Meter was to measure how my air dryer was performing in my compressed air system. Air compressors, by their nature, concentrate moisture in the compressed air output that should be removed. Dry air is essential when spray painting finishes and for air tools' longevity. In my system, I have an apparatus that pulls moisture from the compressed air before it reaches the air sprayer or air tools, and I used the Mini Hygrometer to measure how effective my system was in removing moisture from the air.The Mini Hygrometer probe is small and on the end of a long cable, making it easy to place in precise areas. In my case, I installed the probe in an air compressor bottle with quick disconnects on either end so I could move it from the compressor output to the post-dryer output. The device worked wonderfully, showing 85% relative humidity at the compressor output (very wet air) and 11% after the dryer (very dry air), proving the effectiveness of my drying system. The device's measurement range is 10%-99% relative humidity (RH) +/-5%, so my RH low measurement could have been even below 11% as that is at the extreme end of its measurement range. While not backlit, the display is easy to read with reasonably large numbers. It is straightforward to change the battery via a door on the back of the display. The probe is a small circuit board protected by a plastic probe. See the attached picture. This probe is somewhat delicate even when housed in the plastic twist-off tip and would not do well in environments with vibration or mechanical shock or being messed with by animals. There is no on/off switch, so the unit will continually drain the small coin battery (LR44), and the seller does not state on the Amazon web page what the battery life is expected to be. I expect it would last a few months, but one should have replacement batteries handy. I'll update this review when the battery fails in my unit. The unit is all plastic and is not moisture proof either at its prob with the bare exposed electronic circuit board sensor or in the display housing. So, it probably will not do well in wet environments, but a user could easily provide adequate moisture protection for the probe end.At only $3 each, the DWEII Mini Hygrometer Thermometer Meter is a super value.

Item not usable
I could not get the battery cover off. Tried pushing inward and out in the direction of the arrow, but it would not move. No documentation, and no clue what type of battery these use. There is a hole with labels "on" and "off" but no switch.

They have yet displayed the correct temperature.
When I first pulled the little tab by the battery until now… It has once provided me with the correct temp. It's showing the water temperature is 108 degrees when it should be reading in the mid 70s. Think its too late to return them... ugh

They're okay, but feel cheap and accuracy is questionable.
The build quality is not the best and the accuracy is hit-or-miss compared to higher-end hydrometers with proper calibration and quality control. Some can be accurate and usable, but it's down to luck with these cheaply manufactured devices and requires a verified accurate thermometer and hydrometer to compare to before using them for anything more than a ballpark reading. The plastic housing had a lot of sharp edges left over, the screen viewing angle is poor even for something like this, none of mine came with an on/off button like shown in the product images, and the battery was not disconnected during shipping so it was draining battery for who knows how long. There is no way to turn them on or off. There is a cutout for a switch, but there is no button on the circuit board. They can be okay if cleaned up and the accuracy is verified against an accurate thermometer and hydrometer, but for the price, I don't think I can recommend them. It seems too expensive to roll the dice on getting ones that work.
