To start, I don’t like watered down whiskey. I’ve previously tried whiskey stones the granite type and they didnt do much to chill the drink. These steel ones are fantastic. They are larger at 1 inch. And have a gel centre that freezes. I use two in my glass, (giving me 4 drinks out of this 8 pack. And by the time I’ve finished my 4th whiskey they are ready to reuse again.) and after about 5 minutes the drink has a perfect chill to it. And they last long enough for me to enjoy my drink, with no water diluting my drink. Perfect.

Bought as a gift for a gin lover who steals her dads whisky granite stones. These are stainless steel and will keep the gin cooler than granite or soapstone. My brother-in-law first mentioned it to me and it seemed like a very good idea so I started searching on Amazon. After reading some very good reviews I bought a set for myself for my whiskey. It seemed very cold but doesn't really cool the drinks down like ice does and also what bothers me the most is that it leaves a metal taste in my drink. It also worries me a bit that it might break my whiskey when I swirl the glass.

Bought this set for my partner who is a whiskey drinker. Superb quality and very efficient at cooling drinks quickly. Looks classy in my gin and tonic too! Were not too sure if you are supposed to put them in the bag in the freezer, but we did and seems ok.

These work perfectly. They get colder and hold the cold longer than soapstone whisky stones and don’t water your drinks down like ice cubes. If your having them with a large drink then you do need to put a lot in but 3 or 4 will chill a small drink like a glass of wine perfectly.
