This digital tachometer seems like a decent unit, though the instructions could be a bit clearer and more detailed for first-time users.-The direct contact measurement can be tricky to figure out and requires adjusting some additional settings to get it working properly.-The laser measurement with reflective tape is the most practical method, but you’ll need to hold the unit very steadily to avoid inaccurate readings.-The pointed contact tips are a nice touch and work well as long as you can gently hold them against a rotating shaft to maintain a proper 1:1 ratio.Overall, it’s a good addition to a DIYer’s toolbox at a reasonable price. For professional applications, though, I’d recommend opting for a higher-quality unit for better accuracy and ease of use.

This is an excellent tachometer that anyone should own. It's very easy to use and seems accurate, especially if you know how to use it. I don't much care for the touch RPM test but the laser function exceeded my expectations. You have to use it with the laser very stable and with a piece of reflective tape, but one you get this set up, the measurements come over instantly. The device requires batteries but that doesn't matter to me. It's so easy to use that I think anyone could find a use for it, especially if you are setting up something like a buffing and grinding machine. 10/10, highly recommend.
