brilliant ordering another
Really fun game easy to play, even my 5 and 7 year old enjoy playing it even though they need a little help. Ordered for a friends bday and they loved it and take it with them on pirate days they go on. Now ordering a set for us to have for holidays and trips its fab well worth the money. Instructions and game play is easy to learn and easy to refer back to if needed. But each card also explains. To be honest the first few times we played we played rules wrong but it didnt actually affect the game in a negative way so you can also adapt it to how you prefer to play.

Good but a copy of the "Monodeal" game
Overall this is a pretty fun card game. And that's not surprising because the rules are an exact copy of the rules of the popular card game "Monopoly Deal" which is fun itself. So that doesn't leave much to review I guess since they did not invent anything when it comes to the game itself. The cards are of average quality (I collect playing cards so I know what I'm talking about), the design of the faces is pretty good, but the back design is extremely bland. The box is good though, it has two stacks of cards but has a divider to prevent them mixing together.Overall for £11.99 at the time of review, it is one pound cheaper than the game it copies, so I guess that's a win? I removed 1 star because it's not an original game.

Cursed Tides - Great Game!
This card game came up in my feed when ordering another card based game - it was a great price and family are into pirates so I took a chance and ordered them - it was a great choice as we have been playing it since Christmas Day, and is better than the original (more expensive) game that I ordered. Game play is fast and easy to learn, but offers the opportunity for a depth of strategy and tactics in order to beat your foes and get your three fleets completed. Moreover, while the game comes with game play rules and explanatory notes, the cards themselves have all you need on them to play without referring back to the sheets. Fantastic and addictive, and the element of chance from the shuffling and turn of the cards means that each player has a chance to win.

Average quality cards with AI generated images
The images and art on these cards appears to be AI generated from my perspective. If they aren't then I would be very surprised, but it feels like a bit of a cop-out and all too generic. The card quality is also relatively low with the cards coming in quite thin calling into question long term durability of them. The instructions could do with re-wording as they were relatively awkward to comprehend for anyone that isnt massively familiar with such style of card games. The game itself is fun enough but not something that will give me more than a couple of quick bouts, Im not likely to sit playing it for hours over and over through enjoyment, itll go in the pile of "something quick thats fine enough to take out the house to a picnic" or similar.

Arrr me hearties!
First of all, I love the humour in the disclaimer relating to 'Plunder' - very funny (and so pirate!). Secondly, I really like this game. The materials are excellent, the artwork is really cool, and the printing is top-notch. Instructions are pretty simple, and although there's a sheet with supplementary information, we didn't need to refer to it because the cards were pretty self-explanatory.Gameplay is simple but we felt it could do with a bit of work. For example, you have treasure that you can stash but this seems to only exist in order to pay bribes, taxes, or be plundered. It has no bearing on the victory conditions... of which there is actually only one - namely be the first player to complete three fleets. Fleets can comprise two, three, or four ships, or one, two, or three ships plus a captain. Captains have to match the fleets, or be a 'wild card'.We've played this a few times now with just the two of us, and each time, it's all over in around 10 minutes. Next week, we're going to try it out with our regular boardgaming group, though, to see if five players make much difference to play time.Having said that, there's no reason to not change the rules somewhat (because that's what pirates do, heheh), and make it so that it's the first to build, say, five fleets, and have 500 treasure stashed (for example). :-)Overall, I think this is a fun game, and as I am currently binge-watching Black Sails, I've found it to be right up my gangplank! Definitely recommended!
