Micrometer appears very good quality ,good consistency with measurements.
I have oedered this as my new lathe is metric and my other micrometer is imperialand making parts to repair a few long case clocks all good so far.

Precise and solid
Works like a charm; measures are consistent.At first I thought I had to calibrate it, then I realized that even the slightest impurity that lands on the measuring surfaces (like oil traces and dust) get measured, so you need to gently close (or almost close) it on a piece of paper (I used kitchen paper) and gently slide it off to clean the surface. Then it measured perfectly, and trying different objects multiple times it gave the same measurements down to the micron.

Lovely, the included ratchet makes it easy and a pleasure to use. The case could be a better fit.
Case was not perfect, as in after removing the warranty card etc it now slides about a bit.Other than that it's lovely, the included ratchet makes it easy and a pleasure to use.
