Buoyed up by Billy May's brassy, boisterous arrangements, this is a masterclass from a master in how to sell a standard, how to swing, and how to sing a song like it's never been sung before.More than most Sinatra albums, this one's full to the brim with time-honoured classics ~ from Just in Time, Day In Day Out, and Cheek to Cheek, to Dancing In the Dark, The Song Is You, and Something's Gotta Give. Each is sung and swung to the max, and back in 1958 it all must have sounded like the last word in classy, jazzy vocal and musical brilliance.Of the three bonus tracks ~ not on the original LP ~ two are welcome duets with then-famous singer Keely Smith, whose voice complements Sinatra's well, and which are both pleasant enough extras.The remastered sound is astonishing ~ these tracks are almost sixty years old, after all ~ and Frank seldom sounded so full of life and high spirits.My personal favourites among the string of classic LPs Frank made between 1953 and the mid-sixties are mainly the immortal, peerless ballad albums, such as Only the Lonely, Where Are You, No One Cares, In the Wee Small Hours, and September of My Years ~ faultless masterpieces all ~ but when Sinatra swung, he was given plenty of rope, and few did it with such flair as the man from Hoboken.Recommended, and then some.

Come dance with me in my opinion ranks in Sinatra's top 5 albums of all time. This is probably the most upbeat and hard swing album Frank ever recorded. Although Billy may doesnt have the intricate colour to melodies Nelson Riddle did with arrangements,he inbues the album with enough brashness and ferocity that any shortcomings with the arrangeemnts can be largely forgiven. If there's one regret i have about Sinatras career is that he didnt do more hard swing albums like this but overall i love his swing albums,especially those with Nelson Riddle. Another plus is the great song choices the album has,whether its the snappy van Huesen/Cahn title track or the old Fred Astaire tune "Cheek to cheek" given a new lease of life or the ferocious "Saturday Night" the album has great tunes in spades. Even more of a bonus then that there are 4 additional bonus tracks recorded as singles or unreleased (all recorded around the same time again with Billy May) and all penned by Van Huesen/Cahn! The best of these would be the 2 duets with keely Smith which are fantastic!This really is one of Sinatra's very best albums,i have most of them and sometimes my preferences change but this one would always be in that top 5Highy recommeded.
