Genuine Kato model railway speed controller
Good value purchase. Use with N or HO gauge trains depending on power supply attached to controller. Power supply purchased separately. Instructions give details of correct PSU to purchase. Nice quality, synonymous with Kato products. Plug and play if used with Kato Unitrack and accessories.

Fantastic Controller
Fantastic controller, I use it for N gauge and it’s perfect. If you want to add the electric point switches they just click on the side.As per another review, don’t brother with the Kato power lead, it’s a lot of money. A 12v power supply with power brick is all thats required. I got a 12v 3 amp one of here cheaply and does the job perfect

Updated and improved version.
The Pulse Width Modulation in this unit allows analogue engines to run smoothly and quiet. Well worth it for the improved performance.Adding the point levers is simple and connecting up convenient with the Kato standard wiring. It's probably best to get the Kato power supply rather than cheaper items as it will be engineered to be completelt compatible.

Nice little controller
Kato's SX is a nice little unit with more than a little of the look of a full-size tram controller. It's very small and light, and needs a 12 volt DC input. Don't bother with Kato's own unit, it's far too expensive. Cheap power supplies are easy to pick up for much less. I've even run this off a 9 volt battery.I'm using it for a little Lisbon tram layout idea based on Kato n gauge track and 4-wheel chassis unit. It works a treat!
