When I first searched for a SSD/HDD caddy, the results were of the items with price tags above 499. But upon further digging I found this one, which was priced at 399 at the time of buying. I had my own doubts about the quality of the product comparing to the price.But all hell broke loose when I received the item. The item was nicely packaged, from start, by feeling every aspect of the item, I can confirm it's made of top quality material. The package came with a tiny screw driver, which is of okay quality. 4 quality screws then the caddy itself.Apart from the quality, I was worried about it's working condition. But it didn't disappoint me, it worked straight out of the box and the transfer speeds are pretty good. I am getting the max of the SATA speed my laptop could offer via this caddy.

I had a old 2013 macbook pro, which got really slow because of all the updates and 1000's of tabs of chrome that remained open on my mac. so i bought a SSD replaced it with my old HDD and replaced my HDD with the CD drive as no one uses CD drive anymore.it's will perfectly fit on the cd drive slot in your laptop. i am guessing it's 9.5mm size.It comes with 4 screws which can be screwed on your Hdd/SSD so that it stats perfectly intact in the caddy.it's not at all a flimsy material. go ahead and order it.Contents of package:1) 1x 9.5mm caddy2) 4x screws3) 1x Screw driver

The caddy serves the purpose of adding an additional drive to the laptop at a lesser price than the other more famous offerings on amazon. I don't know why this product is getting less than 5 stars. Atleast mention the reason why.I highly recommend this caddy as i've been using this from the past year on my other laptop and it's working fine till now.

This cheap product is somewhat okey with MacBook pro, issue with safety is a question while fitting this as we replace optical dvd drive , dvd drive is fully fixed using 3 star screws but this hdd caddy has only one screw option (front-screw )Other two screws brackets are not available(see rounded circle in picture ) , at last I used two double tape for giving extra security to hold this unit stick to the board .This one is working fine , connectivity was okeyThe screws and screwdrivers are cheap . The thread of screwdriver was gone while opening laptop and fitting brackets on caddy frame. Very low quality items .

It's is good if you use carefully, i have currupted HDD 2 time due to my Laptop is inbuilt battery, and also my Laptop is dead after install i need to repair my Laptop and now i am not using this product at that time. Waste my money.

It fit properly but it's front design is flat and laptop corner is curved so it spoil the beauty of laptop but speed is very fast it gives same speed as your storage device support
