Fosi AudioTP-02 Subwoofer Amplifier Home Audio, Mini Bass Amp Mono Subwoofer Amp, with TDA7498E Chip 220W Volume and Frequency Control, for Powered Passive Subwoofers Bass Shakers

This thing packs a lot of punch for it's size! I have it powering a Skar Audio IX-8 D4 8" subwoofer in a slot ported enclosure as the low end for my computer sound system. This amp puts out way more power than the IX-8 needs, so I've only got the volume on this critter turned up about 25% and it sounds great. I like it so much that when a friend's powered home theater subwoofer's plate amp failed, I recommended this as an alternative to replacing the sub. He purchased it and is also very happy with it's performance and value. My desktop sound system consists of this amp for my sub, a Fosi Audio tube pre-amp, and a Fosi Audio 2x50 watt amp for the mains. The sound that comes out of this setup is nothing short of amazing! I highly recommend Fosi Audio products. They are excellent quality and last a long time. The tube pre-amp and two channel amp have been in service since 2016!

Nice for something this small. Works well but it is somewhat limited. Unquestionably not anything close to 200+watts. I would guess it's more closer to 20 watts.5 stars because it is very complimentary to my other fosi dac.

I am impressed. I just build a DIY subwoofer for my home theater. Had to build a specialty box because it had to fit between the back of my couch and the wall. Only had about 5-6" to work with. So, I had to build my own. Obviously I couldn't install an amplifier in such a shallow box, so I bought this thinking it was worth the try. I AM IMPRESSED. I did a great job on the subwoofer. While not very deep, it is large in length and height. I connected this amplifier externally, and I have to admit.... I am totally impressed. So clean and quiet (until music/movies are playing). Highly recommend it. If you have a subwoofer with a burned out amplifier, DON'T THROW IT AWAY. Just open it up, disconnect the speaker wires from the internal amplifier, extend the speaker wires outside of the cabinet, velcro this amp onto the existing subwoofer and connect the wires. Perfect repair. Now; if you are trying to replace a 400-1000 watt amplifier, well this is only 220 watts. But seriously..... unless you're in a car with a little weenie complex, do you really need more than 220 watts. Anyway; for the NORMAL person, this is a great amplifier for a DIY subwoofer build or to save you old subwoofer that has a broken amp.

I used this to replace a blown amp on an older Klipsch subwoofer. It works great and pushes it pretty hard. It pounds harder than I expected. Great amp!

I used this to replace a defective plate amp in a 20+ yr old JBL subwoofer. Sounds great!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Awful. Did not push my JBL 10" Passive Subwoofer whatsoever. With the gain all the way up, my Denon Sub setting all the way up, and the Sub frequency correct, the Sub did not even budge. Will be returning promptly. Disappointed.
