Honestly the BEST pillows I've ever used!
This is the second time I've bought these pillows and I've loved them each time! The directions tell you to put the pillow(s) in the dryer for 15 minutes, but I've noticed that manually plumping them first makes the pillow much fluffier/firm once it comes out of the dryer. The over fill the pillows, but allow you to take some of the fluff out of you need, but I love how thick it is! My last pillows are still nice, but I needed more for a second bed we got, so we swapped these out, so they are nice and durable. While these do cost a decent amount of money, they are worth every penny! It keeps cool on hot nights and it is easy to clean! I will keep buying from this company as long as they keep selling these amazing pillows.

A Stomach Sleeper Finally Finds "The One"....
***UPDATED - 4 years in***Holy freakin' crap. I finally, FINALLY found "the" pillow. I feel like it was easier to find a person I want to spend the rest of my life with (a.k.a. my wife) than it was to find the right pillow for me. Seriously, why isn't there a site where I can date various pillows before committing, sort of a match.com but for pillows?I've tried upwards of 25 pillows over the last year and a half, trying to find "the one". Everything from $100 memory foam to down,k to down alternative to, to whatever the regular fluffy crap you find in pillows is, to....yadda yadda yadda. This was finally the pillow that did it for me. I'm a stomach sleeper, and I bought the slim version of this pillow in a king size. The pros:-The pillow had a light smell out of the box, but that was gone as soon as I ran it through the recommended fluff in the drier. No issues after that.-The pillow sleeps very cool. I'm a hot sleeper and a pillow that sleeps even warm is not an option for me. No problems at all with this one.-The shredded memory foam is what I think was the missing piece for my pillow hunt all along. Solid memory foam is just too firm for me, no matter which iteration of it I've tried. I tried numerous, and none worked. The shredded has several advantages - it just seems fluffier to me, you can easily "puff" it back up with a few pats at night, and it's movable (see next "pro"). I'd say the shredded foam is the perfect balance between the support that memory foam provides and the "fluff" factor of a more normal pillow.-The pillow seems to come a bit underfilled, which I suspect is the only difference between a slim and a nonslim. Don't care, just saying. In fact, they could offer another version with even more foam removed and I bet there'd be a group of people it would be perfect for. The benefit to this, for us stomach sleepers that have a huge problem finding a slim pillow, is that the shredded foam can be adjusted at night. I manipulate my pillow so it's flat in just the right spots, and I can sleep on this thing perfectly. It's slim enough out the gate that there's almost no effort involved in doing this, and it maintains that shape for the next nights (it only really loses it when I bunch it up to read in bed at night sometimes).-The price point - I would pay another $50 for this pillow and still feel that I was getting excellent value for my money. When it comes to a pillow, I have no issue spending $100 for one if needed, because it's critical to getting good sleep for me, and this one is a steal at this price point.Cons:-For me, I really don't have any. I will point out that pillows are similar to coffee or food for people - individuals just don't have the same preferences. What works for one might not for another. I can certainly see where some people would be put off by the shredded foam - I find it to be unnoticeable to me, but some folks may not prefer it, at least not enough to go the shredded route Same goes for thickness - this won't do the trick for you if you don't want a slim pillow. If you're looking for a good pillow, I highly recommend this one, especially if you're a stomach sleeper that's suffered years of agony like me. I have slept better with this pillow than I have with any other. Ever.I was NOT given any special discounts or promotions for this pillow - I paid full price. Just want to make that clear so it's known my feedback is 100% unbiased.****4 year update****The original pillow I purchased is still serving me as good as it was from day 1. Because these are fully washable, I blast it on hot every month or two and it comes out like new, no deterioration over the last 4 years. I even compared to a new one I've had on reserve and you really can't tell the difference outside of expected wear on the case. Both my wife and I exclusively use this pillow, and I've since had several family members purchase it as well, all with the same happy results for every person so far. This pillow really is awesome.

Smell
When I got the pillows, there used to be a really strong smell that gives me a headache. I had to air it out outside for a week before I can bring it indoors. I noticed that it was about two weeks after, I feel tolerable to sleep on them. The foam is very comfortable. I do think that they are good value for the money.

Insanely Overpriced And Won't Last The Year
Updates First. As always.I have to update my review on two grounds. First, I washed my pillow and, though it is supposed to be washable, the memory fiber or shredded memory foam really hasn't bounced back the way my other shredded memory foam pillows bounced back after washing. To be clear, I am gentle on pillows, don't turn or shift much while sleeping, use an allergy pillow case and regular pillow case to protect the pillow and only washed it because the dust mite/allergy cover zipper had broken and the pillow was making me sneeze so I bought a new cover and washed the pillow which was a terrible mistake. Second, they've upped the price to $41. That is just insane, considering what you get. I'm sorry but this just isn't worth it for the short lifespan of the pillow. The original price of $30 was a bit steep, considering all the options available and the brands that offer two for one deals, but $41 is highway robbery. If you value products being sold by companies with a conscience, you shouldn't support this company by telling them that they can get away with charging so much for a product that doesn't even last a year.Original Review:I've owned this pillow for nearly a year and used it for a full six months before reaching these conclusions.First, allow me to say that this is an excellent pillow for comfort, under specific conditions. However, if those conditions are not met, it lacks in specific and important ways. This pillow uses a similar style of bamboo cover to many shredded memory foam and memory fiber (same thing, different name) pillows. The cover is 100% bamboo, like everyone else's, and is perforated, they say for cooling. In actuality, the perforation does not cool the pillow as compared to unperforated bamboo covered pillows, all of which stay relatively cool due simply to the weave and texture of a bamboo cover and the nature of air flow through shredded memory foam/ memory fiber. And so, the perforation is unimportant for cooling and this pillow is much like other pillows in sleeping temperature owing to similar materials and construction. That having been said, the perforation of this (and several similar pillows) does actually make fluffing this pillow (and the similar ones I've tried) much easier than fluffing the closed-weave bamboo covered pillows on the market. Of course, this is only important when you consider the following, namely, that this pillow is not resistant to dust mites and allergens, as it claims to be, not in the least. In order to be hypoallergenic or even to just resist, not stop fully, dust mite activity, a cover must be so tightly woven (I won't bore you with micron counts) that it actually makes fluffing a pillow very difficult, as the air inside the pillow is pressed out by the pressure of you sleeping on it but new air flows back in very slowly, over time. and is difficult to restore even with fluffing. This pillow is, to clarify, directly advertised and labeled as being, of all things, "hypoallergenic" and "dust mite resistant", when it is, in truth, neither. However, a pillow that is both of those things (and I've tried several) is impossible to fluff. Because this pillow is perforated and fails utterly in allergy control, it is also, owing to that perforation, highly fluffable (fluffs in mere moments). So, you can cover it in the allergy barrier of your choice and then follow the protocol of unzipping the allergy cover for a moment, fluffing and then zipping it back up, to great results. So, essentially, this pillow gets five stars for fluffing and zero stars for allergy claims.Next, there is the issue of fill. This pillow uses similar fill to several others that I have tried ranging in price from just over $15 to $30 and this one is by far the most expensive at nearly $40. Any pillow can be opened up on the end, to sew on a zipper, so as to make the fill level adjustable, which I've done with several other pillows and I can say, having done that, that this pillow is obscenely over priced. Yes, the fill is high quality. So is most of the memory fiber/ shredded memory foam I've found in pillows. Also yes, the slip style is better for certain types of sleepers. But, anyone can adjust the fill level of any memory fiber/ shredded memory foam pillow to whatever level they want. So, what is the overall justification of the two star review? It is simply not worth the price. They lose a star for false claims of being hypoallergenic and dust mite resistant, but they lose one more for using a cover that is identical to covers on cheaper pillows and still one more for using fill that is identical to cheaper pillows, essentially, selling the same product for far more money. You can get a high quality shredded memory foam or memory fiber pillow, call it what you will, with a perforated 100% bamboo cover from multiple vendors, cut on one end, unstitch, leaving thread ends attached for sealing off/ tying off so that the pillow stitching doesn't unravel, sew in a zipper that meets up with your sealed/ tied off thread ends, and then adjust the fill to your liking and achieve exactly the same result as you get with the slim pillow from Xtreme Comforts without paying the Xtreme price (I couldn't resist). This is, in short, a rich person's pillow. It costs more for the sake of costing more. It is not better and, ultimately, is not worth it given how much less you can pay for a nearly identical product. On the one hand, I love this pillow. On the other, I love the ones I've adjusted to essentially match it in every way, just as much only it didn't cost me as much as a Smog Check. The price is simply far more than it is worth. Good luck in making your choice and finding what you need.
