Works fine. No issues
I read some complaints about the fans being too loud. I didn't notice that on this unit. It was relatively quiet and we have had no issues.

A superb no-frills POE switch!
If you're looking for a basic plug and play switch to power your POE devices, I'd highly recommend trying this one out. For me, this has been powering four POE cameras now for a few weeks and has worked flawlessly. Two of the cameras are about 100' from the switch, the other two are around 25' and it's had no issues providing power and keeping a solid connection to them all.Being an unmanaged switch, there's no configuration or anything here. Simply plug in your device and the switch will handle the rest. If it's POE enabled, the switch will power it. All the lights you need are on the front and easy to read. I would have liked to see the lights above the ports since they're easily covered by the cables, but that's being a little petty! As others have mentioned, the casing is made of metal so it feels nice and sturdy. All ports feel nice and secure too with little flex when inserting cables. Same goes for the power connector on the back. And speaking of power, it is powered using a standard computer power cord. This makes the unit slightly larger but helps alleviate the clutter caused but transformers/wall-warts! So big plus in my book!Size wise, it is a little larger than I initially expected. If you're familiar with rack-mount components, it's the same height and approximately half the width of a standard 1U switch. Of course with the larger size does come better ventilation and, as mentioned above, room for the power supply to be housed inside. All in all, a very nice POE switch for the price. If you're setting up an NVR and need a switch for your cameras, this would be more than sufficient!

power output is great but switch doesn't negotiate duplex settings well.
replaced an existing POE switch since I needed additional power for POE cameras. Found that my Wifi speeds dropped through the floor when connected to this switch vs my previous. Tried resetting everything to no avail. Ultimately had to connect my previous switch as my primary and daisy chain this switch to connect all the cameras. Had to connect my AP units to my previous switch to get proper speed over wifi

the fan doesn't last long
customer support is pretty quick if you are within your year of support. they shipped out the fan for me to replace. (I told them i could do that myself) its a $9.00 fan so my advice is to keep one on hand. you can buy them on amazon. You will know when your fan is dying. its extremely loud.other than that...its a POE gig switch...works well and has been for a year minus the fan. easy fix.
