AXILTRACKR Noise Cancelling Ear Muffs

Great sound

I have tried a lot of the similar priced over the ear electronic ear pro, and after about 2-3 hours they start to give you that fatigue headache and really dig into the sides of your head. Not the Axils. Sounds is perfect, i generally can hear people talking 100yards away. I have worn these for 8 hour training sessions and never got the pain or fatigue like over ear pro. The battery life is crazy, im at about 70 hours so far on the same batteries, the other i have used would last 7-10 hours and then you would have to charge or replace the batteries. I bought these when they were $250, best earpro at that price. I see they are a lot cheaper now, just ordered 2 more to keep in my pack for backups and others to try.

Synced the bluetooth with my phone before heading to the range and there was a lot of electronic chatter interference, but I've never shot with music before, so it was just a "gee whiz" feature I can do without.Turned them on before going into the range and the sound didn't drop out when others were firing. It was startling how loud the gunfire was. Turned them off to save my hearing and it wasn't any better. Even without the mic on, they didn't work as simple muffs. I ended up leaving the range to put in earplugs under them. Then it was tolerable. But I've never had to double up on hearing protection before.Too late to return them through Amazon, so I'm stuck with them. I might try mowing with them, but more likely I'll just toss them. What a waste.

OK -once I figured out how to get the batteries in and get it turned on, the muffs performed well. There were no instructions on how to open the battery compartment or how to to them on or adjust the volume. Axil‘s website was pretty useless - the manuals section only showed instructions for their high end Bluetooth muffs and I was able to figure it out from those instructions. That said, the muffs provide food hearing protection at the range while still being able to carry on a conversation with the rangemaster. Turning up the volume a bit gives a background humming noise that can be annoying. I’m not looking for high fidelity but the claim that you can hear better with them on than off would only apply to those who are hard of hearing in the first place. If I keep the volume down to just past the point where they turn on it’s ok. I have a larger head and they just fit over my ears at full extension. If you have a large head, these may not fit.

These are comfortable and allow me to easily communicate with my friends & range-master while shooting everything from a .22 to a 300 win mag. I have the ability to enjoy music and take calls when needed too. I would reccomend these to anyone looking for the best earpro available.

While it appears fairly designed, Bluetooth audio quality is definitely mono and serious lacking fidelity at that. Audio awareness mics are easily distorted with external volume such that esp external music monitoring bad even at low levels. Overall noise diffusion is lackluster (*maybe 20db) lacking at seals around ears during head movement and no amount of further adjusting seems to remedy. Expected *far more out of a $100+ investment.

Axil is one of the top line of hearing protection and these muffs fit the bill. The quality seems to be there. They fold up very small that is a plus for your range bag. The low profile makes it much easier when you use your rifle. The noise protection works great you can hear the range commands but blocks out all-most all loud noise. If you are looking for a no frills basic hearing protection at the gun range at a great price look no further.
