Excellent
Excellent, a full flask takes awhile to boil the water, but an excellent product to take away on the motorbike

Great design and build quality - impressed
Very impressed by build quality and design of this kettle. I have done a first test boil and it worked as intended - slow but sure!Lid was secure, safe pouring with trigger. LED feature worked nicely - Red when heating up, green when it boils and switches off - then coming back on when temp drops to 80 degrees - brilliant! So it doesn't need supervision.I previously purchased this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00763U2UW?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_titleThat was absolutely awful - very poor design and build quality, I could not lock the lid shut.Returned for credit!

Works quickly in the car
I have the "pleasure" of several long journeys spanning upto 24 hours per year and have been paying a fortune on drinks at the service stations, this is a god send !Firstly I must say it takes approx 10-15 mins to heat up the water but it is HOTSecondly, I have tried this in a multiple socket in the car and it does NOT work !Thirdly only works in a single plug socket in the car

THIS PRODUCT IS DANGEROUS. DO NOT BUY.
The kettle was fine at first, however the plug that goes into the cigarette lighter then began to get VERY hot, melted part of the plastic surround, burnt my hand, and blew a fuse on my car.I tried to contact the seller to let them know, but the only response was that as it was over 30 days since purchase(about 3 months), there was no option to report anything.Thankfully Amazon have been more helpfull and raising it as an issue.

The kettle is fine, the plug in however...
After a month of daily use the plug in fell apart. It sits too tight in the socket so force is needed to unplug the kettle. This proved too much for the plug in . Wires separated and the plug in itself fell apart. Shame.

Works well...
100 watts, so that's just over 9A for a 12v supply.Takes 30 minutes to reach boiling point when using water from the home tap of approximately 13 degrees. The LED then turns from red to green and it's stops heating. Apparently it comes back on at 80 degrees, although I haven't confirmed that yet.*** Update after lots of use in my van ***From water around 5 degrees it'll boil a "normal" cup in around 20 minutes and that's half full. So the kettle being full takes 40 minutes. To boil water for my Contigo West Loop 470ml flask it took 33 minutes.Once it reaches a boil the LED changes from red to green and it'll stop boiling and come on again automatically. According to the instructions, this will be 80°c.** Warning ** quite a bit of water will be stuck inside unless you take the top off to pour it out. I made the mistake of taking the lid off while it was above my leg and there is quite a dribble of water that comes off the lid. It's blistered my leg. So now I'm aware, I'm careful of any trapped water and where it'll drip. If you measure exactly the right amount of water to boil, you'll see that what you can pour out without taking the lid off is a bit short of what you wanted.

Great product
Very classy looking kettle that doubles up as a flask for boiling water. Very pleased with it. I put boiling water in it before a journey. So the boiling time when needed is very quick.

No issues and just the job.
I have a smaller capacity kettle from another manufacturer which I always had to boil twice to get enough water for a cup of tea and my porridge pot. This one holds enough to do both in one boil. Yes it's not quick but anything boiling water of a 12v 10amp supply is never going to be quick. For me it's just a matter of doing things in the correct order. Kettle on first and by the time everything else is sorted it's almost ready. Probably not ideal if you're looking for something for a quick tea break. It's ideal for an off the grid van like mine though.
