Yes, that's all I've ever done. I've used this product for years. I live in Southern California (sunny and hot in the summer). Also, I don't have a garage space to use. I've used this on a black car in direct sunlight with no issues. I've used it as late as 10:00 am and after 6-ish pm. I wouldn't use it at high-noon in the summer. Anything you put on your car will vaporize in an instant.

Q: I've been told that this product is also useful for outdoor patio furniture. Does anyone have any experience with using it for that purpose?

Any spray wax will help keep the furniture looking good. A tad easier to clean too. I think it will be a great option. Try it. For the price u can't go wrong!! My favorite wax bar none!!
