Fits good , looks great. Just what I wanted

This was easy to install. Mounts securely on the receiver and hold the shells firmly. The hole to hole was a little closer, so putting it over the screw that uses the nut was tighter than it should of been. It did fit though.

The product is sturdy and well made not taking away from the product at all on that point, reviews do say that it will fit the Mossberg Maverick 88 yes it does no it doesn't I have an older version I don't know if there's a newer version to the Maverick 88 out there but the unit fits on you cannot place the washer on with the nut not enough threads at least on mine for the upper screw the lower screw that goes through the trigger assembly because of its threads it would not just slide in had to be bored out just a hair not too bad but slight modification to the firearm needed to be done got it on looks beautiful sturdy but it would not allow me to chamber around because the forearm was in the way only way to keep this product on would be to change out my forearm which unfortunately was not an option because there are no forearms to change out to that I like two would have been to modify my forearm but I would be taking out a big chunk of that forearm or I'd have modify the plate carrier which then would take away from its function unfortunately had to return this product but that's my mixed feelings because it's a good product it's a sturdy product it just won't fit the Maverick 88 without modifications to the firearm or the pump we'll have to try again maybe with a semi-automatic shotgun

Pro: robust polymer perfectly sized shell caddy with 65 good screwsCons: MANY#1 it would mount on my 500 cattywampus and ugly, that is if I could have mounted itaccording to the instructions with the hardware provided, but I couldn't, because#3 the mount screws are unusable garbagea) the supplied screw you're supposed to replace the original one inside the receiver is made ofcheap metal and the head strips very easily.b) the long screw that replaced the trigger group pin goes through the trigger is supposed to get anut on the other side, except you can't thread the nut on the screw, even with the screw out again.#4 I gave up trying to put the nut on after a half hour of trying different things such as gluing the nut tomy finger with super glue.#5 so when I took the long screw out, the short screw in the front that was supposedly threaded throughthe receiver into the caddy plat, immediately came loos without unscrewing.So I used double stick 3m tape to try taping it onto the receiver and after it cures I'll load shells init and take it to the range and test it.#6 if it flies off when I shoot the shotgun, I'll ge4t some screws and screw it to the outside of my foldingstock on the other side of the receiver.

The item was exactly as described. I installed it on my Mossberg 500 in a very short time.The installation instructions could have been a bit clearer in one step, but no worries, it ended up fine.
