I don’t know why I waited so long to order this item. Love the first one so much came back for a second. It fits perfectly in my built in shower shelf and saves me time in scrubbing the soap scum off the shelf. You just wash off the silicone soap dish. Not to mention the soap lasts longer.

As the title says my husband bought this because he was tired for water collecting in the soap dish making the bar stick to the dish. This does solve that problem, but in a really boring and not very pretty way. It's practical so of course he likes it. I find it still gets stained with soap scum and is just unattractive. At least the bar stays on it.

I like the design, and it goes great in my white marble looking (porcelain) shower niche. A bit expensive for this plastic thing, but haven't seen anything more unique. Yamazaki prices in general or a bit more expensive.

I’m the pickiest person and extensively research the smallest thing I buy, sometimes buying my top and my runner up to compare before I settle. I also love great design that is also functional. You can't reason me into buying the most efficient anything if it's not pretty to look at.This soap dish is the perfect marriage of design and function. It kind of visually disappears making your perfect bar of soap shine. It drains easily on any surface preserving the soap and eliminating the constant need to clean. The back side of this soap dish is also hollow which means it won't sit in a puddle of soapy liquid developing mold as we speak. It is the same length as my favorite weirdly sized ZOTE Laundry Soap. I live in an NYC shoe box of an apartment and do some laundry by hand in my tiny bathroom sink. I was referred to this item from a magazine article which listed a number of outstanding products sold on Amazon. And this was one of them for its effectiveness in getting rid of the hard to remove soap residual which you often find on the shelf you place your bar of soap on after showering. I will not admit how many years I have had to clean this mess by hand for years, but this item has completely eliminated this task. It is priceless in this benefit alone. I know will order others for the other bathrooms and have an extra whenever this current one needs to be replaced. With that said, I have had this item for over three months and it looks as new as the day I received it. It does so much more than simply hold two bars of soap in place without them slipping onto the shower floor. Best new item for 2020 thus far. Product rating: A++
