Brilliant when used in the right way
I see a lot of negative reviews for this product which are very unfair.Yes, this powder tastes horrible when mixed with just water (or as one reviewer tried, coffee?). Complaining about this is like buying turmeric and complaining that it makes your strawberry milkshake taste weird. It is unflavoured protein that has been extracted from peas, it tastes exactly like it sounds. When you start using it as an ingredient in other things, however, it is much much better.I have found this protein powder to be very well suited to things that other powders are not. For instance, whey protein congeals into disgusting lumps when mixed into any hot liquid, but pea protein does not. I like to mix it into spicy soups, which the savoury pea flavour works very well with.If you want to use it in shakes, you definitely need to add sweetness (unless you want a savoury shake?). My current protein shake recipe is to blend a scoop of this powder with milk, frozen berries, an egg and a pinch of sucralose (bulk powders sells this too). I actually prefer this to the version made with whey protein (unflavoured). I've not tried it with almond milk or vegan alternatives to milk, but it will probably work too. Adding a banana will make the shake thicker and creamier too.I will continue to buy this powder, and also will continue to buy whey protein, and as a rule of thumb, use the whey in sweet recipes and the pea stuff for anything savoury. If you want something that you can just mix into water and shake, don't get this, get one of the flavoured powders.

Now I know why dogs lick their bits. Get passed the taste and itâs great, will buy again!!!
You donât buy this for flavour, I know that now. I tried everything to disguise the taste but just made it worse.....However this is still the best protein you can buy. Iâm on the zero carb diet and for 100gYou get only 1g of carbs.Best thing to do is to drink it all in one go, donât sip it. Mix 30g into 300ml water and neck it.To be honest Iâm now used to the taste and you will get used to it too.To me the flavour is more savoury than sweet and taste like pork scratchings.Buy this instead of whey protein with all the added sweetners that your trying to get away from.Youâll feel better for it.I once heard someone say âif you like the taste of something, then itâs not doing you any goodâ lolTry it, use it, enjoy!

Good value
Doesnât taste great but itâs pea protein so what would you expect. Not as bad tasting as other reviews make out though. Hold your breath and get it down .

Awful
Been using protein powders for 30 yrs now, every so often I get the itch to try and fix something that's not broken, and like an idiot that's exactly what I did when I ordered this product, it is by far the worst tasting textured and sickly protein powder I've ever tried, I have tried to add things to enhance the favour like fruit or honey but the consistency and awful aftertaste just won't go away..After a 2nd attempt at consuming I found my gag reflex to be in order, and did what I should of done after the first attempt and out it in the bin.. it's fowl tasting doesn't mix well and why anyone would want to endure this is beyond me.

nice cheap quality protein
Not the best tasting protein out there (it does obviously taste of pea) but a cheap price to pay for a high quality protein supplement.I take one scoop of this with one scoop of chocolate whey protein mixed in milk and I cant really notice the pea taste anymore so its an economical way to get a decent amount of quality protein in daily.I usually buy most of my powders from Bulk Powders as they are one of the cheapest brands around yet produce high quality powders that rival any of the other brands out there. If you find you simply cant stomach the pea protein then I also recommend their whey proteins as well.

Great product for a great price.
I used to buy the Pulsin pea protein powder but as the price steadily went up I decided to look elsewhere. I found that this large bag (and believe me it's massive) worked out cheaper for me and the product is basically the same. For anyone who's never used pea protein before, it does tend to have a slightly bitter taste but it blends really well. I put mine in a nutribullet and blend it with water, bananas and blueberries, a bit of coffee and some cocoa powder and it's great. Just don't expect to have it to taste great if you don't blend it with anything.I used to have a bad response to proteins such as whey, soya, and hemp and find that pea is does the trick.

Faulty product packaged
Used product before and has always been fine. But most recent order a faulty bag was packed and leaked inside box. Box was undamaged so it wasnât shipping issue. Havenât been able to contact seller to replace order

The unflavoured is very versatile.
I like that the unflavoured is uncluttered with extra ingredients. The mixture of "a solid product" and a reasonable price works well for me and I've done repeated purchases of this product.I prefer keeping a more neutral flavour with my cereal and oatmilk. With pea protein it's best to rinse the bowl, shaker or cup as it drys firmly onto the containers.
