Appears to be very accurate. I like the way it works, different from another unit I have. It builds to maximal pressure, then slowly drops. I can feel when the pulse passes through the cuff and the systolic and diastolic measurements are made (I'm a doc and that is precisely how we measure pressure with a stethoscope). I would give it 5 stars if there were a plug-in option. Not a big deal, since batteries last quite a while. I go at least a month on 4 triple A batteries, checking daily, several times a day.
