Well-made, very sturdy, needs some adjustment when on high pile carpet
We have a projector (Xgimi Horizon Ultra) that sits in the middle of our living room. I bought this to minimize and hide all the cords - 1 power strip, 1 power cable for projector, 1 hdmi from projector to PS5, 1 power cable for PS5, 3 USB charging cables for PS5 stand and two controllers. With this product, there’s only 1 cord visible outside the box, the power strip cord. An extra bonus is that the projector, placed on top, is at the perfect height (equivalent to the Xgimi Horizon Ultra stand at its lowest setting) and width. The unit is quite heavy (22 lbs?) and made from matte white steel. The door is simple wood. Very befitting of the Yamazaki brand aesthetic. There are small indentations/cut outs at the top and bottom steel sides, nearest the wood door. This is so you can run thin cables from something sitting on top (like my projector) into the unit. I purchased an Anker power strip with the thinnest flat cable available to run out of the bottom.Cable organization is easy because the whole thing is steel, so you can get magnetic cable holders and they’ll stick easily and strongly to the inner walls. There are some small ones provided for the pull-out drawer as shown in the pictures.I easily fit a slim PS5 with a vertical stand, the Anker 6-outlet power strip, and 2 controllers. The product photos are perfectly accurate. One issue I encountered was that the wood door did not open super easily and I realized it was encountering resistance from my high pile living room carpet. Due to the weight, I didn’t even realize the unit came with feet because it sank so much into the carpet.I fixed this by getting 5/8” anti-dent carpet spikes, which you should consider getting anyway because the weight of this box with everything inside and on top will definitely dent your carpet. That lifted the unit enough that the door opened easily after that. The cables running through the top and bottom didn’t impact the door closing, but the magnets on the door weren’t super strong. I got a pack from Amazon, sized 60x10x3mm, and stuck them right under and above the ones already on the inside of the door. They were exactly the same dimensions and once those were added, the door closed perfectly.Overall, $200 is a lot for a box that hides cords and your console, even if it’s well-made. For us, it aesthetically cleared up our living room so nicely, it was 100% worth it. If you have the same kind of design issue, I highly recommend this product.
