i am 13 years old.
(im 13 years old)i recieved this item 3 days after ordering. it is fully intact and the invisible ink pen works great! i am very pleased so far. i especially like the "top secret confidential classified" cover and inside. every couple of pages it will have this light blue page that says things like "top secret" on it. this is supose to be the page you write with your invisible ink pen, but you can write on any paper really. the black light on the pen is also fully functional. i was able to reveal my writing with the secret pen even in a fully lighten up room! (whitch i did not expect to be able to do) we will see how long the pen will last. i did see you could buy more on amazon for a dollar a peice. i'm not sure if they will be better quality than this one, or just about the same. the lock it came with was a litttle hard to get to clasp, but not too hard. i will deffinetly be using this in church to take notes this sunday. :)

Great for the apprehensive young writer
My son began reading Dork Diaries to his younger sister at her insistence. We since got her a diary of her own and I was pleased to find this one geared more towards boys! We 'unschool' and I am always trying to find ways to support my son to write, as he is an avid reader, but doesn't seem to like to write much or work on his handwriting. This diary was just the encouragement he needed! He's finding all kinds of things to write about. It's fun and inclusive (as diaries that aren't pink and sparkly are nearly impossible to find) and we just love that. One thing we did was order a blue lock to make it extra special. :) I'm glad he has a place to organize his thoughts and ideas in an exciting way. Thank you Mindware!

Pen worked great, when arrived the pen light was on.
This has been great the invisible ink pen worked great! When it arrived the pens light was on, so I was worried it wouldn’t last long but it has had no trouble so far! It definitely was a hit!

Great for grandkids
My grandkids will love the invisible writing and being able to lock it up so no one will see it.

I wouldn't purchase again
This was a great idea. Got for my child for Christmas. Pen wouldn't work and the book came apart from the binding as soon as it was opened. Amazon was willing to do a return but we'd already tried gluing the binding so they gave a partial refund. I read the reviews before purchase but thought I'd give it a try. So disappointed. This product needs to be QC checked before it it sent out to purchasers. Nothing worse than getting a gift that you cannot use. If it were for myself, I'd send it right back but when it's for your child who is itching to use it, you just make it work...

Pen doesn’t show up
The diary is nice, but the spy pen is very hard to read using the special light.
